Welcome To Woolsery
Or Woolfardisworthy West to give the village its correct title, but we think Woolsery is a little more friendly.
Woolsery is set within unspoiled rolling North Devon countryside with wonderful coastlines and country walks, and has a heritage going back to the Doomsday book and beyond. The heart of the village was built around the Norman Church and has grown over time into a thriving community with something for everyone. Our Village School is one of the best in the area, and we have a pre-school group know as Sunflowers. We hold annual events that the whole village gets involved in such as the Woolsery Village Fayre, The Weekend of Open Gardens and the Woolsery Show, as well as various local Clubs and Societies to suit all ages, many of which are held at our award winning Community Hall.

DOG FOULING IN THE PARISHWhat is being done about dog fouling? The Animal Welfare Officer does regular patrols and there are dog bins and notices relating to dog fouling at many locations throughout the Parish. The Dogs (Fouling of Land) Act 1996 applies and owners must clear up after their animals. The maximum penalty for not doing so is £1000. Poop scoop bags are available at £4 per 100 from Torridge District Council. Dog owners who do not obey the ruling give rise to health risks and create a serious nuisance. Torridge District Council has resolved to issue fixed penalty notices in relation to dog fouling offences. Various Council staff are empowered to issued fixed penalties if they witness offences. The fixed penalty notice is currently £50.00. Extra! Extra! Read all About it. Blank News Space needs Filling!Have you got something that can go Here?
